Victor has many enemies on The Young and the Restless. One person who has earned the wrath of The Moustache is Kyle. Victor’s constant interfering in Kyle’s relationship with his granddaughter Claire has become a huge storyline. But fans think it’s time to end.
Ever since Kyle (Michael Mealor) started dating Claire (Hayley Erin), Victor’s (Eric Braeden) voiced his disapproval. Despite Kyle’s attempts to make peace, The Moustache won’t change his mind. Victor’s hatred of Kyle is all he can think about.
When the family returned from France to comfort Victoria (Amelia Heinle) following Cole’s (J. Eddie Peck) death, all Victor could talk about is Kyle. The Newman patriarch was unhappy when Claire chose to see Kyle instead of coming to the ranch.
Victor’s hatred for Kyle has gotten out of hand, and fans on Reddit say it needs to stop.
“It’s getting really old. Everybody is tiptoeing around Victor so he doesn’t get angry, not healthy! Really disappointing behavior from Victor, he should support his family at a time of loss,” one fan wrote.
“Victor’s never-ending vendetta is beyond old, as is everyone just accepting the tyrant,” another fan replied.
“Victor’s going to wind up pushing Claire away if he keeps this anti-Kyle campaign going,” one viewer wrote.
Fans are right about one thing; The Moustache might indeed lose his granddaughter. Upcoming spoilers hint that Claire loses patience with her grandfather because of his behavior.
With Claire at her breaking point, could Victor change his tune about Kyle?
It’s highly unlikely. Claire’s declaration of being done with Victor will have him pointing the finger at Kyle. He’ll blame the Abbott heir for ruining his relationship with his granddaughter. And this will make Victor more determined to break up the couple.
