The Bold and the Beautiful knows how to bring the drama and May 5-9 was no exception. Liam’s devastating condition brought tears, sorrow, and a whole lot of broken hearts.

Hope’s Dismissal of Carter
The world of daytime is known for its lover boys and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) is one of the best. He falls hard, he loves hard, and he fights for what he wants. And, right now, he wants Hope (Annika Noelle). Unfortunately, despite being pushed back into his arms by Liam (Scott Clifton), she doesn’t seem to have much interest in rekindling that romance.

Sure, she entertained the idea for a hot second when Carter came to the Logan estate on Monday, but she quickly relented and threw all his misdeeds in his face. Is there a way for Carter to smooth things over and get back in her orbit in the way he desires? We sure hope so!

The Awful Truth
Wednesday brought the moment many of us have been waiting for – Hope learned the cold, hard truth about Liam’s devastating future. Unfortunately, the news didn’t come from him. In fact, as of that episode, he was still determined to keep his secret under wraps. It was Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) who took matters into her own hands and marched on over to the Logan house to drop this tragic bomb on her rival. Through tears, she explained that Liam is dying. And, things only got more emotional from there.

On Thursday, Steffy told Hope everything and the latter nearly fell to her knees. How could this be? Liam was just there and he seemed okay. He seemed fine. No, he seemed off. Hope began to realize what was really going on as Liam spoke all those sweet words about Carter and wanting her to find love as Steffy told her he had an inoperable brain tumor and didn’t want anyone know, not even Hope and definitely not their daughters. Steffy held Hope as she cried and the women worried about their futures and the futures of their little girls who would soon be without a father.
