Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick â and by that, I mean youâre already halfway done â recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on todayâs episode. Letâs get to it:
What Happened on The Young and the Restless
On The Young and the Restless last week, Nick nearly died after scraping himself on an old trunk while fighting with the bodyguard at Caneâs French estate. Some people have a near-death experience and take it as a sign to decide what they really want in life and go get it. Maybe with his sore ribs, Nick thinks itâs a real accomplishment to shrug, but thatâs what he did when Sharon spoke for all of us and asked him what was going on between them after he kissed her. It was a valid question. Nick, in excruciating pain and needing a medivac helicopter to take him to a hospital, gathered up the strength to ask Sharon to move in close, then pulled himself up to plant a kiss on her. Those waiting for Cameron to make an ill-timed appearance at that moment were disappointed because this one was for Shicksters everywhere. The kiss was real. So now that heâs going to live, and after years of Shick fans waiting for a reunion, Sharon asked him where things stood. What did it mean? Did it mean anything? Was it a moment should she read into? All Nick could do was shrug her off and tell her to wait and see if it happens again. If that was supposed to be a tease, or he thought he was being coyâŚcâmon, Nick. Try harder. The girlâs gone through hell this past year, the least he couldâve done was show her that it was going to happen again â and plant one on her right then and there.
