As the second day of his trial is set to get underway, Johnny (Carson Boatman) has a visit with his grandmother and is in for a surprising time. Susan (Stacy Haiduk) is staying in the DiMera mansion as usual, but knows there is something strange going on. She can feel Stefano’s (Joseph Mascolo) presence and even has EJ on high alert.

After an emotional time with his mother, Johnny is unnerved by what Susan has to say and wonders if her negative vibes have anything to do with his trial. Could there be unseen forces at work? EJ was shot right in that living room, and they still haven’t gotten to the bottom of things.

Susan also feels there is something wrong with Marlena (Deidre Hall) and repeats her theory in Horton Town Square. Marlena has another visit with Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). When the good doctor gives her a health update, will Marlena be as alarmed as Susan is?

Cat, the super spy

Cat Green (AnnaLynne McCord) does not seem like super spy material, but apparently, Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) wants to turn her into one despite her only being an analyst with a desk job in the past. To that end, he has her working with Rafe (Galen Gering) to bring down the DiMeras. That means Rafe has to teach her the ins and outs of field work and how to protect herself in dangerous situations.

Cat already had a trying time the night before when she was stuck in an elevator with Chad (Billy Flynn). After Chad gives Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) some very surprising news, he finds Cat, and they share another close moment, but she needs to focus on her ISA training without Chad learning what she is really up to.

When alone with Rafe, she has to put her martial arts skills to work as he teaches her self-defense. Will Chad start to become suspicious of what Cat is really up to? How will he react when he learns the truth? Cat already kept a major secret from him, and now she has another one.
