Three fun ways Curtis could take down Drew on General Hospital

Most fans would agree that General Hospital’s Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is fifty shades of scummy. Now that Drew realizes Curtis (Donnell Turner) was the one who told Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) about Drew’s affair with Nina (Cynthia Watros), which prompted Willow to call off the wedding, what nightmarish scheme might Drew dream up to seek vengeance against his former best friend?Drew and Curtis, once best friends, now bitter enemies on General Hospital | Image: Twitter (X)

Drew lied when he told Curtis he wanted a truce, lulling him into a false sense of security while Drew plays “the long game,” as he confessed to Martin (Michael E. Knight). It seems as though Drew is going to be even more dangerous to Curtis than ever before. So what new strategies could Curtis use to take down Drew? Here are three fun possibilities:

Curtis could conspire with Ava

Curtis is friends with Nina, and Nina is best friends with Ava Jerome (Maura West), who isn’t above killing, blackmailing, or tampering with medication to get what she wants. Considering that Ava has a mob past, she’s one of the most dangerous women in Port Charles. It would benefit Curtis to align himself with her when it comes to the near-impossible task of overtaking Drew.

Unfortunately, we don’t get to see Ava and Drew in scenes together, so this idea would be a chance for the writers to switch things up a bit. Can’t you just imagine her getting in Drew’s face and hissing, “Curtis is my friend. Don’t you dare make life hell for him, if you know what’s good for you.” Drew would be scared out of his mind! And let’s face it, Maura West would rock those scenes.

Call in the great Victor Newman

Imagine how wonderful it would be if General Hospital did a crossover with The Young and the Restless. Picture it: It’s the final scene of a Friday episode, aka cliffhanger time. Curtis calls a mysterious friend. Who does the friend turn out to be? The Great Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) from The Young and the Restless. Victor usually has “people” he calls to help him take care of his problems, so he could have enormous pull when tackling a problem like Drew.

Maybe Curtis did Victor a favor in the past, and now Victor owes him one. Curtis is calling to collect, to pick Victor’s brain for much-needed advice on the best tactic to take down Drew. Victor could fly from Genoa City to Port Charles for a private meeting with Drew to see what’s got Curtis so rattled. Victor would probably laugh in Drew’s face and view him as small potatoes compared to the heavyweight businessmen Victor has defeated in the past. He would surely put Drew in the same lowly category that he puts Billy Boy Abbott (from The Young and the Restless) in.

Victor and Tracy, a dynamic duo in the making

Another reason a General Hospital and The Young and the Restless crossover would be so fun is because it would be a treat to see Victor meet Tracy (Jane Elliot). They are both badass, fearless warriors who will fight to the death to protect their families. And considering everything Tracy has been through because of Drew (like his framing her for drugging him and his insistence to demolish the Quartermaine crypt), Victor would want to help her stick it to Drew somehow. Eric Braeden and Jane Elliot are two longtime, powerhouse soap actors. Put them in a storyline together, and we would have soap gold. Curtis could team up with both of them to find the best possible solution to conquer Drew.

Oh, if only the soap gods could make it happen that way, we would be in soap heaven. But at least Curtis has Ava to turn to, and she can be just as formidable and shrewd as Victor and Tracy are.
