Long before she landed the role of Phyllis on Y&R, Stafford initially pursued a career in modeling. After graduating from high school, Stafford began her modeling journey.

It didn’t take long for her to start booking gigs and traveling the world. One of her earliest modeling jobs took her to Italy.

Stafford recently shared some pics of her modeling days on Instagram. The post includes two black and white photos, including one of her on the beach. In another photo, Stafford is modeling a polka dot dress and jacket and sporting a short bob hairstyle.

“Lucky you…found more pics of baby me when I was a Super Model in Italy,” she captioned the post.

Stafford’s photos were met with compliments from her fellow soap stars.

The role of Phyllis was initially supposed to be short-term, but Phyllis became a permanent character after Stafford’s performance impressed the showrunners.

Three decades later, Stafford is still wowing everyone with her award-winning role as Phyllis. Whether Phyllis is a villain or a heroine, fans can’t get enough of Genoa City’s famous redhead. And Stafford’s having a blast with whatever the writers throw at Phyllis.
