Rory Gibson opened up about what a wonderful actress Sofia Mattsson is, and what goes through his mind when he’s working with the youngsters on the show.
For a moment, it almost seemed as if there was a miracle on General Hospital. No, not the birth of Sasha and Michael’s baby in the courthouse. Rather, the fact that Willow helped deliver Daisy, and she and Michael were an inch close to reaching a compromise. But then Drew had to go and ruin everything by messing with Wiley’s head. But Michael’s working hard to stop them from taking his kids, and actor Rory Gibson opened up about what being a father might mean for his character and himself.
He Loves Working With Younglings
Gibson chatted with Soap Opera Digest, stating that he loves the fact that Michael now has three children with the dramatic birth of Daisy. He enthusiastically said, “I adore children,” and looking ahead, added, “I cannot wait to have some of my own.” Of Sasha’s portrayer, Sofia Mattsson, Gibson praised her, stating, “I think she’s one of the most incredible people I’ve met. She’s a wonderful actress.”
The actor is engaged to Alicia Ruelas and further explained that the two are planning on starting a little family of their own. He stated that they’ve discussed it for years and are now seriously thinking about taking the next steps. He also enjoys when there are scenes involving children, gushing that holding babies and hang time with the kids is “A great time. I just love kids!” (Is Sasha in love with Michael?)
Fans Are Rooting for Michael
The outlet shared their interview on Instagram, and the fans overwhelmingly were on Team Michael. One follower enthused, “Loving your performance as the new Michael Corinthos 🔥❤️,” while another advised, “Love him as Michael! Take those kids from Willow, Drew, and Nina, please.”
Another viewer opined, “I hope Michael gets custody of Wiley and Amelia. Why bring Michael back than for him to lose against Willow after Drew told Wiley that Michael does not want him and Amelia? Please, writers, give Michael full custody of the kids.” And one fan wants to see some action with the hopeful comment, “Happy [that] Wiley told his Dad. I hope Drew gets it.”
