Phyllis is at risk of losing it all on The Young and the Restless. She’s going all in on her deal with Cane. But does she really have a lot to lose? What will she end up losing?
Placing Her Bets
Billy (Jason Thompson) is rubbing off on Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). She’s treating life and business like a game of Poker. Cane (Billy Flynn) revealed that he’s going after Jabot, which made Billy pause. When Billy hesitates, you know there’s something wrong.
But not Phyllis. She didn’t even blink. She just eagerly said, “I’m all in.” In her mind, she has a lot to lose. But does she really have anything to lose? Billy hinted that Phyllis doesn’t have a big portfolio. She doesn’t have numerous businesses under her belt. Sure, the Grand Phoenix was a hit in its heyday, but it also crumbled terribly.
What Does She Have To Lose?
Phyllis doesn’t have a successful company like Billy and many others. Rather, she has a business idea or two that Cane could snatch up for himself. He could take those ideas and turn them into a billion-dollar business overnight. Cane has the smarts and know-how to do it.
Plus, he already knows how to hone in on other people’s businesses. It doesn’t make sense for Phyllis to work with Cane. She doesn’t care about Newman Enterprises or Jabot. Both families hate her, and Summer (ex-Allison Lanier) will still have her job even if Cane takes over the company.
Arguably, she doesn’t owe Jack (Peter Bergman) any loyalty. So, she really doesn’t have anything to lose. What are your thoughts? Do you think Phyllis has a lot to risk by working with Cane?
