More often than not, as of late, Young & the Restless fans are wondering if The Almighty Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has lost his mind. There’s no doubt he’s aging, but not so much like a fine wine. It wasn’t long ago that he faked losing his mind to oust Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) from Newman Enterprises. Now it seems all but certain he has lost his mind for real, or he’s bored out of his mind without his chessboard, which is still at his former ranch house.

The Almighty Victor Newman needs something else to do other than sitting in his chair beating Abbott-related dead horses. His new & oldest granddaughter, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin), is on the verge of cohabiting with an Abbott & Victor is going to go bonkers. Cousins with Kyle in Common, Time to Pop Popcorn

Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) has a point. Everyone in Genoa City, including her family, has her new cousin Claire on a pedestal & it’s getting old. The only person who is on Summer’s side on this is her mother, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who coined Claire’s newest nickname, “Scary Poppins.” Well, Young & the Restless fans need to get their popcorn ready because when Summer, Phyllis, & Victor all learn from whomever & whenever they hear it that Claire & Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) are about to shack up, you know what is going to hit the fan.

Claire Has Big Eyes for Kyle… & Getting Her Way

Claire & Kyle have finally said “the L word” to one another after discussing living together… Talking about putting the cart before the horse. Now they are locked & loaded with or without Victor Newman’s approval. Kyle has questions & Claire has answers. Claire KNOWS she can get her grandfather, The Almighty Victor Newman, on board. How does Claire know? She almost killed him, her grandmother Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), her mother Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), her father Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck), & her uncle Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) almost all at once, in Oregon just short of 2 years ago.

Victor Newman is going to be hot as hell when he learns Claire has decided to move in with Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) son, Kyle Abbott. Well, Victor had best not boil, as Claire can remind him of what she is capable of. Claire can remind her grandfather of the petty feud he continues with Jack Abbott because he saved her grandmother in an unorthodox way, & then she can double down & threaten to hurt Nikki Newman herself unless Victor falls in line with her plans with Jack Abbott’s son.

Regardless of whether fans like or dislike Victor Newman &/or Claire Newman, things are about to get interesting on Young & the Restless.
