What did EJ just dream?
The Friday, May 2 episode of Days of Our Lives featured Tate punching Johnny for pulling out of the adoption. Sophia had a pregnancy scare. Thankfully, she and the baby are okay. Rita and Kristen had a confrontation. Sarah had to talk Xander down after he expressed his desire to do away with Philip, and then he offered Johnny a job at Titan-Dimera. Brady and Kristen debated the necessity of therapy for Rachel. And finally, Belle visited EJ, who had a nasty dream. But was that dream a memory?
The kinder, gentler EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) still keeps secrets. First, he asked Rita (Maggie Carney) to stash the memory card somewhere nobody would find it. Later, he told Belle (Martha Madison) a version of the truth. He came clean about someone planting a spy camera the night of the shooting. But he said it was gone. And while that may technically be true now that Rita has a hold of it, it’s still not the complete truth.
When EJ fell asleep in Belle’s arms, he quickly entered the dreamscape. It was the night of the shooting. EJ found the camera, pulled the memory card, and put it in his pocket. He turned around, and Johnny (Carson Boatman) pointed a gun straight at him. EJ said, “What are you doing?” And then Johnny shot the gun.
This still doesn’t prove that Johnny shot his father. Obviously, the way the events in EJ’s dream unfolded was weird. He put the memory card in his pocket instead of the drawer. The timing of it all seemed off. So now we’re left wondering whether his dream was a memory, or it was simply his brain or subconscious projecting because of the snippet of the footage that showed Johnny pointing a gun at him.

Johnny’s Odd Behavior
Elsewhere, Johnny crashed at the Salem Inn after Chanel (Raven Bowens) kicked him out. Thinking about his behavior over the past few weeks, he seemed oddly robotic. Like he disconnected all the feelings related to his dad and stashed them somewhere that can’t be accessed. Even after Tate punched him, and Tate (Leo Howard) just wanted him to say he changed his mind about the adoption, Johnny didn’t show much emotion. He said he was sorry, but it was all so matter-of-fact.
It’s like he’s wrapped up in all of his feelings and can’t even think about anybody else’s right now. How has nobody told him that he needs to get therapy over what he learned about his dad? Because he’s not dealing well, and if he shot his father, he’s clearly not processing anything in a healthy manner.

Burning Questions
Do you think Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) will win the therapy debate and stop taking Rachel (Alice Halsey) to sessions?
Would Xander (Paul Telfer) ever hire Kristen, thereby having the Kiriakises and DiMeras work side by side?
How do you think this adoption story will end? With Tate and Sophia (Rachel Boyd) raising the baby together after all?
After the events of today’s episode, do you think Johnny shot EJ?
Will Johnny say yes to Xander’s offer to work at Titan-DiMera?
