‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) may return to Port Charles. Arriving just in time to fight for Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Serenity and Sequoia Mork Macko) himself.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Michael May Come Waltzing Into The Courtroom
In the May 14th episode of GH, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) informed Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) that the court date for the custody hearing would be June 2nd.
By revealing the date for the start of the custody battle, did GH reveal that a recast Michael is in the works?
Some leaks have hinted that Michael is being recast, as the character left at the most inopportune time. There are several reasons Michael should be in Port Charles.
It would be a spectacular soapy surprise if Michael came waltzing into the courtroom. He could be at the forefront of the impending drama.
Carly, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), and Willow would be floored if Michael unexpectedly showed up. His entrance into the courtroom would be epic.
Michael could return to Port Charles as his recovery may be further along than anyone thinks. A Michael recast would change the game. It would be ideal for him to be the one to make his plea to the judge for his kids.
Drew plans to paint Michael as an absentee father who abandoned his children, which is downright despicable, even for Drew.
Meanwhile, Carly intends to use Drew’s ketamine-fueled night with the prostitute and the scandal that ensued against him to show he’s a danger to the children.
Carly is one hundred percent correct that Michael wouldn’t want Wiley and Amelia to live with Drew.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Michael May Return With A New Attitude
Plus, if the soap goes through with a Michael recast, he can confirm that he was never told that Willow went to see him at the burn clinic, which would be a massive bonus for viewers.
The fact that Drew would lie and not allow Willow to speak to him about a mutually agreed-upon custody arrangement would give Michael more ammunition to fight with everything in him, especially if Willow ultimately forgives Drew for his deception.
Michael will no doubt return the canvas as a scorned man, and he won’t hesitate to use his money and considerable influence as both a Quartermaine and a Corinthos to gain full custody of his kids.
Michael may have always loved Willow, but she broke his heart. He’ll be out for blood, especially when he finds out that Willow signed a legal document to make Drew Wiley and Amelia’s legal guardian. He’ll draw the line at Drew playing the role of father figure in his children’s lives.
He may come back with a whole different attitude. He may even be more like his father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), and he won’t mess around.
The door was left open for Chad Duell to return, but it doesn’t look like he’ll step back into his former role anytime soon, so a recast is imminent.
Michael needs to be in town to fight for his kids and make sure that Drew pays. We fully expect the heated custody feud to be the courtroom battle of the year.
