General Hospital spoilers and updates tease there are five good reasons for Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) to return now, having served his time.

There are situations surrounding his family and more importantly, property that was supposed to be his that need to be addressed!

Reason Number One-Lulu Spencer Will Need Her Big Brother’s Support
Reason number one, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) has gotten herself into a big mess with her snooping and she will need her big brother’s support.

Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) has gotten the wanderlust again and who knows when and if he’ll be back in Port Charles, although he’s promised to keep in touch.

Right now, several people are mad at Lulu, including Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) may be next!

Of course, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will always be on her children’s and grandchildren’s sides. Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) may still not realize Lulu snooped in his hotel room and files, so he might be mad at her too!

Reason Number Two-Aunt Alexis, What Did You Do?
Reason number two, Nikolas will need to confront his aunt Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) about the withdrawals from Ace Prince-Cassadine’s (Joey and Jay Clay) estate account.

Nikolas won’t be as easily fooled about business transactions as Laura, and he’ll know something’s fishy about Alexis’ excuses.

Even though he had given Spoon Island and Wyndemere to Ava Jerome (Maura West) in the divorce, there was money set up for Ace and now it’s dwindling.

Nikolas may be just the right person to put things aright that went wrong in his absence, he can be very intimidating to both Ava and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst)! Nikolas will have a real mess to clean up in the Cassadine family accounts, a lot of work’s ahead of him!

Reason Number Three-Who The Heck Is Jenz Sidwell, And Why Is He In My House?
Reason number three, Nikolas did give Spoon Island and Wyndemere to Ava in the divorce, but not for her to sell it to some mercenary!

If Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) had not died-or presumed to have died-he was supposed to retain an interest, as would Ace.

Nikolas didn’t want the property to go to someone like Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and especially when he finds out he almost killed Lucky.

Nikolas will have a long and difficult legal road ahead of him trying to reclaim the property out from under Sidwell. It may be something neither Alexis or Martin may want to get involved in!

Reason Number Four-Ace Needs To Know His Daddy
Even though Nikolas allowed Laura and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) to formally adopt Ace, he still needs to know his daddy. Chances are, Nikolas upon his release will move in with Laura, Kevin, Ace and Martin.

Ace will be a comfort to Nikolas as he finally is able to grieve the loss of Spencer, although closure will be very difficult with no body ever found.

On the other hand, no one knows better than Nikolas how things aren’t always as they appear-it took several years for him to reveal his survival and return to Port Charles. If Spencer does turn up he and Nikolas will need each other as well.

Reason Number Five-Ric Lansing Needs Some Competition For Elizabeth
Even though Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) promised Lucky he would look out for Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and already has been protective, Ric’s already trying to move in on her!

Nikolas already has bad blood with Ric over his and Ava’s blackmail of Alexis, which he’ll certainly find out if he returns. Elizabeth is by herself in her big old house, with all her boys out on their own, save Aiden Spencer (Colin Cassidy) on vacation with his dad.

Even if Nikolas and Elizabeth don’t pair up, he’ll be her closest friend, and she’ll be his. The two of them go back many, many years, almost as long as she and Lucky!
