CBS [05/01/2025] Days of Our Lives Full Episode: He’s fighting death in the hospital!

The quiet hum of life in Salem was deceptive. Beneath the polished surfaces of the Horton Town Square, beneath the political pleasantries of city hall, and behind the closed doors of sterile hospital rooms, a storm was gathering—a storm of grief, betrayal, love, and choices that could alter lives forever.

Chanel Dupree sat alone, her fingers tightening around a lukewarm cup of coffee as if it could anchor her in reality. The spring air was sweet with the scent of lilacs, but Chanel couldn’t feel it. Her world had fractured, just days after she and Johnny DiMera had stood hand-in-hand, dreaming of parenthood. Adoption papers were ready. The nursery painted in pastel blues and greens. She had even picked names.

Then Johnny unraveled.

He’d backed out with a cold, haunted look in his eyes after Amy Choy gave them her blessing. Johnny, once brimming with hope, was now consumed by fear—fear that the darkness in his father, EJ DiMera, ran in his blood. The night he pointed a gun at EJ replayed in his mind like a curse. He was terrified he might one day turn that same rage on his own child.

Chanel couldn’t forgive it. Not yet.

She whispered bitterly, “Amy said yes… He promised.”

And then, as if summoned by her anguish, a familiar voice cut through her silence.

“You look like someone carrying the weight of the world.”

She looked up to find Abe Carver standing there, eyes soft with concern. The remnants of his amnesia still slowed his stride, but the man she had loved and trusted her entire life was back. He sat beside her without waiting for an invitation. She collapsed into his arms, the tears finally breaking free.

“You don’t have to say anything,” Abe murmured. “I know.”

As mayor, and as Paulina’s husband, he’d heard the news before most. Chanel’s dreams had shattered—again—and Abe was there, not to fix it, but to hold space for it.

“I just don’t understand,” Chanel whispered. “He was so sure. And now he’s… gone. Running from a version of himself that might not even exist.”

Abe listened quietly, letting her pour out her heartbreak. Then, with the calm gravity of a man who’d weathered storms of his own, he spoke.

“Fear is a powerful thing, sweetheart. Johnny’s fighting ghosts that aren’t yours to carry. But your journey? That’s still yours. You’re strong. You’ll be a mother—whether with Johnny or without.”

Chanel exhaled shakily, the first flicker of strength returning.

Elsewhere in Salem, the air was equally heavy, though for different reasons.

The DiMera mansion was uncharacteristically silent. In the ornate parlor, Cat Green sat beside her sister, Felicity, who stared at nothing—her eyes glazed with a pain too vast for words. Days earlier, Felicity had held her newborn son for a fleeting moment. Hours later, he was gone, his tiny heart giving out before he ever had a chance to live.

Cat brushed a strand of hair from Felicity’s pale face.

“Say something,” she whispered. “Anything.”

Felicity’s voice, when it came, was little more than a rasp. “They won’t even let me hold him again… Said it was too late.”

Across the room, Chad DiMera turned away from the fireplace. He had known grief intimately—losing Abigail had left a hole in his chest he hadn’t thought would ever heal. But this… this was another kind of devastation. He approached carefully, kneeling in front of Felicity like one might approach a wounded animal.

“You don’t have to talk,” he said gently. “You don’t even have to move. Just breathe. We’ve got you.”

Felicity looked at him, her eyes distant. “Do you think he knew I loved him?”

Chad’s throat tightened. He couldn’t answer with certainty, but he believed it with all his heart. “Yes,” he said. “He knew.”

Back at the hospital, time was running out for Bo Brady. Kayla Johnson paced the hallway outside the ICU, her mind racing. The experimental drug—developed by Dr. Jeffrey Russell—could be Bo’s last chance. But the FDA hadn’t approved it. No human trials. Too risky, too soon. And yet, for Kayla, there was no choice.

She had begged Russell. Pleaded. But the doctor had refused.

Now, desperate and cornered, Kayla found herself conspiring with her brother Steve “Patch” Johnson and Shawn Brady. The trio was planning something drastic: to steal the medication. The stakes were astronomical—legal consequences be damned.

“We could go to prison for this,” Steve muttered.

“Then we’ll go together,” Kayla replied. “But I’m not letting Bo die when we have a way to save him.”

Meanwhile, the teen drama in Salem’s younger circles added another layer of complication. Sophia Choy, pregnant and now on modified bed rest, was struggling with the thought of missing prom. Tate Black was by her side, offering a comforting shoulder. But Holly Jonas was dealing with her own heartbreak after being brushed off by Doug Williams III.

And in a nearby café, Leo Stark leaned across a table, whispering secrets to Javi Hernandez—secrets that could shake up an investigation still hidden from public eyes.

Across town, tensions continued to simmer. Chanel confronted EJ DiMera, her fury barely contained. Her dreams had crumbled in large part because of the sins he’d passed down to his son.

“You poisoned him with your lies,” she hissed. “And now I’m the one paying the price.”

Their argument was brutal—years of tension exploding in a single, fiery confrontation. EJ didn’t fight back. He couldn’t. The guilt gnawed at him. He had failed Johnny. And now, he vowed to protect him in any way he could… even if it meant letting him go.

And finally, Chad returned to his own crossroads. He sat with Cat Green once more, trying to convince her to reconsider something—a decision she’d made that threatened not just a hospital’s future, but perhaps their own as well.

“There’s still time,” he urged her. “To change course. To do something right. Maybe even… to start over.”

Their eyes met. The pain of past betrayals still lingered. But beneath it all, there was hope—flickering, fragile, but real.

In Salem, the fight between life and death raged on—not only in hospital rooms, but in hearts and minds, in every whispered choice and every bold confrontation.

And as one week closed and another began, the people of Salem braced themselves for what came next.

Because in Days of Our Lives, even the quietest moments hide the loudest truths.
