EastEnders legend and current Hollyoaks star Rita Simons reveals she’s having her fillers dissolved, having ‘really regretted’ them.
The soap star took to Instagram this week to reveal that she’s dissolving her facial fillers after ‘starting to resemble a pillow’.
Visiting Dr. Stephen Hennessy, a facial aesthetics expert, Rita admitted that while she’s ‘not adverse to fillers’, she’s learned to be careful of ‘over doing it’.
‘Going on a little journey with the wonderful @drhennessycosmetic ….I’m not one to pretend I don’t have a little tweakage..but I’ve really regretted having fillers over the years,’ she wrote.
‘They have built up over time and I was starting to resemble a pillow. So lovely Dr Hennessy started dissolving them last week and today we’ve done the last bit.
‘Will update results when it all settles with some before and afters…Im not adverse to fillers but I’ve definitely learnt you need to be super careful about over doing it!
‘FYI in advance for the “you don’t need it” comments…I know! That’s why it’s going!’
Soap fans remember Rita best as one half of the iconic Mitchell sisters. Alongside Samantha Womack, they comprised the formidable duo of Ronnie and Roxy.
EastEnders audiences were heartbroken when the pair were killed off in 2017 when they drowned together in a pool following Ronnie’s wedding to Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).
Rita later joined Hollyoaks as Marie Fielding, mother of fan-favourite Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas-Speed), evil rapist Abe Fielding (Tyler Conti) and young tearaway Arlo Fielding (Dan Hough).
Marie has since found herself at home with Lomax family, while embarking on a short-lived affair with ultimate Hollyoaks icon Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard).
