Days of Our Lives spoilers and rumors reveal Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) may have a close call and wind up right at Heaven’s gates before the experimental medicine starts to work.
This takes place the same day John Black (Drake Hogestyn) dies on the show-one could think John sends Bo back, but instead he reunites with Zack Brady (Brandon Butler).
The Late Drake Hogestyn’s Substitute For John’s Scenes Is Allan Wayne Anderson
John dies and Bo reunites with Zack on Monday, June 2 with John’s scenes having been played by a substitute-NOT A RECAST-named Allan Wayne Anderson.
That’s an important distinction to make, because no one could ever replace Drake Hogestyn as a recast.
John shielded the experimental medicine, every single dose, with his body during an explosion in a meth lab where the medicine had been taken.
It would be a terrible script to have John ultimately give his life to save Bo’s, only to have Bo die anyway!
So it makes much more sense for Bo’s close call to happen before John’s death and his son, Zack, send him back home, telling him it isn’t his time yet.
Zack Was Bo And Hope’s Eight Year Old Son Who Died From A Hit And Run
Zack was Bo and Hope’s eight year old son, between Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) who was killed in a hit and run.
He was on his bicycle when a distracted Chelsea, driving Bo’s SUV, ran over him and then fled the scene-she’s Bo’s daughter with Billie Reed (Lisa Rinna).
Zack’s organ donations saved several in Salem-Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) got his liver and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) got his corneas.
In 2022, in the Beyond Salem streaming series on Peacock, Zack also appeared, that time played by Scott Shilstone, to convince Bo who was at that time an angel to return home.
Bo was needed on earth to help their family, who were being attacked by the Devil in several different Salem citizens and earned his life back saving Tripp Johnson’s (Lucas Adams).
Bo’s Close Call, Zack’s Heavenly Mission
Bo was on a heavenly mission before, returning home to Salem at Zack’s insistence, but when he returned he got his life back.
Considering he had been in stasis all this time thanks to Megan Hathaway DiMera (Miranda Wilson) that mission may have been a near-death experience, as this one will likely be as well.
Viewers may recall when Will Horton (Chandler Massey) first returned to Salem, he took an overdose of anti-amnesia serum provided by Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton).
He too, had a near death experience where Caroline Brady (Peggy McCay) sent him home, saying it wasn’t his time. It sounds like Bo’s experience will be very similar, with Zack sending him back home again not as an angel, but as human Bo.
