Casualty airs an emotional episode this weekend as Jeff Collier’s funeral takes place.
Last Saturday, viewers saw the popular paramedic lose his life in an explosion at the scene of a terrible car crash, which had left a number of the show’s regular characters in trouble.
The drama’s next episode explores the tragic aftermath for Jeff’s colleagues as they gather for his send-off.
The day is particularly difficult for Dixie (Jane Hazlegrove), who throws herself into work as the funeral looms and considers not attending the funeral at all.
In the end, it’s some tough words from returnee Iain Dean (Michael Stevenson) that spur Dixie on to do the right thing by attending the service, where she leads the tributes by giving a moving speech about her memories of Jeff.
