EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) unlocks his memories from the night of the shooting and reveals the truth in court.
All arrows point to Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) being the one who pulled the trigger. Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk) freaks out during the trial and has to be restrained.
We suspect that Rachel was upset over her grandmother, Rachel Blake’s (Roslyn Gentle) disappearance, and decided she wanted her uncle to pay.
Of course, she may have also shot him by accident. However, spoilers indicate that the situation is far more complicated.
Days will provide flashbacks to explain what really happened at the DiMera mansion on the night in question.
Despite EJ’s reluctance to hurt Rachel, his instinct to free Johnny will prove stronger. As Kristen pleads with EJ for more time, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) tries to distract Rachel.
Meanwhile, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) presides over the jury deliberations, and the votes are counted to reach a verdict.

Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Cat Greene (AnnaLynn McCord) encounter some obstacles in their blossoming romance due to Cat’s story about “James,” aka Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering).
Gabi and Phillip Kiriakis (John Paul Lavoisier) indulge in a passionate liaison as Gabi seduces him to gain the upper hand and uncover buried Titan secrets.
Gabi is ultimately rewarded for her efforts as Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) gives her the CEO position at DiMera.
However, the situation turns complicated as spoilers hint that, against her better judgment, Gabi starts to develop real feelings for Phillip.
It looks like she’ll walk a tightrope between her newfound romantic interest in Phillip and her deal with Tony. Her mission is to extract Titan info to use against the Kiriakis brothers and reclaim DiMera.
