The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Tuesday, August 5 saw Ridge playing lifeguard, Liam and Hope reminiscing, and Finn putting Grace in the hot seat!
Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) nearly threw a fit when Eric (John McCook) told him about the ring Nick (Jack Wagner) has in his pocket, and ran off to stop the shenanigans. As for Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), she was enjoying being wined and dined by a man who only had eyes for her. Nick lapped up every moment he had in her presence. After Ridge ran off, Back at the hotel, Eric (John McCook) paced the floor before deciding he needed to lend a helping hand. He, too, ran off to find the couple.
Ridge got to the dock at the exact right moment to hear the boat workers talking about Nick’s boat still not being fixed properly. and asked them to point him in the right direction. He shuffled over there as fast as those dressmaker legs could carry him. Unfortunately, by the time he found them, the boat had left the dock…and Brooke wasn’t picking up any of his calls. Worried for her safety (and her single status), Ridge watched helplessly as Nick’s boat went awry and Brooke fell overboard. With that, he dove right into the water to save her!
The Buckingham Factor
Meanwhile, Hope (Annika Noelle) spent the day fawning over Liam (Scott Clifton). She made sure he was comfy and cared for, and they talked about his recent ordeal. Mostly, Liam talked about the impact of being cared for by a Buckingham. Grace (Cassandra Creech) is his personal hero, but every time he says “Dr. Buckingham,” he flashes back to Reese (Wayne Brady) and the terror he put them through. He stole their child to pay off his gambling debts, for crying out loud! How can Grace be so good and her ex be so evil? (We have to wonder why we’re getting all these Reese mentions all of a sudden…hmmm…).
Liam and Hope replayed all the horrifying moments from when they thought they lost Beth. All the tears, the sorrow, the trauma. He put them all through hell. It was only by sheer luck that they got her back. How can someone do something so heinous all in the name of money?! Thankfully, Grace isn’t like that…or so they currently still believe. They are very blessed to see things come full circle, they agreed. Oh, if they only knew….(and according to the spoilers, they soon will!)
Finn Forced A Confession
At the same time, Finn (Tanner Novlan) backed Grace into a corner. He demanded details and answers about Liam’s surgery…and his tumor. And then he levied his shocking allegation: the surgery wasn’t necessary because there was never a tumor at all! He pointed out all the holes in her story, including no one from the neuro team ever showing up, the shoddy scans she sent Bill, and that shady million-dollar payday.
Finn then called Grace out on how much she’s changed over the past few months. She’s been on edge, stressed out, and shaky. Something is off. Then Finn dropped the biggest bombshells of all—no one else in the hospital has any records of Liam’s brain bleed or tumor, and those incisions aren’t big enough to have been from any kind of operation.
With no other options, Grace had no choice but to break down and tell the truth. Yes, she faked the whole thing. She faked Liam’s tumor, the operation, and his recovery. She lied about saving his life because it was never in danger. But, she had to! She had no choice! Her ex’s gambling sharks threatened her and her daughters. If she didn’t come up with a million dollars, they were going to hurt her girls. Finn was rendered speechless.
