The Young and the Restless has spent the past few weeks breaking our hearts and July 28-August 1 was no exception. Another tragic death, several mourning families, and gut-wrenching news spreading had us glued to our screens.
Chance’s Horrifying Death
First and foremost, we need to talk about the tragic end of the only remaining Chancellor legacy family member. He stepped up to Carter (Vincent Stalba) to try to diffuse the situation but everything went off the rails. A shot rang out on Monday and poor Chance suffered a fatal wound. It was a horrifying end to a legacy family that has been loved through generations.
What will come of the Chancellor family now? Will there be a secret or long-lost relative coming back onto the scene? Is there any chance that Chance’s death was a fake-out? Or, is this the final end to one of the most beloved families in Genoa City history?
Amy’s World Shattered
Speaking of untimely deaths, watching poor Amy’s (Valarie Pettiford) heart break over her son’s murder had us grabbing tissues. Nate (Sean Dominic) had the daunting task of breaking the news after only finding out about his brother’s passing on Tuesday. The fella barely had time to process the loss before shattering all of Amy’s hopes and dreams.
Victoria Got Some Much Needed Love
As if that wasn’t enough death to deal with in one week, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) finally got support after losing Cole (J. Eddie Peck). Her family came home on Thursday and held her in their arms. She and Claire (Hayley Erin) suffered through his loss alone and definitely need all the love they can get. Will anything or anyone ever heal Victoria’s broken heart?
