The show first premiered in 2019 and quickly earned a loyal following thanks to its mix of small-town charm, heartfelt storylines, and stunning scenery. It follows nurse practitioner Mel Monroe as she starts over in the close-knit community of Virgin River, where she meets bartender Jack Sheridan and plenty of lovable (and complicated) neighbors. Over the years, we’ve watched their love story unfold alongside births, deaths, weddings, arrests, breakups, secrets, and the occasional unexpected cliffhanger.Virgin River star reassures fans Netflix series will “go on and on” - Dexerto

As for what’s ahead, Season 7 will follow newlyweds Mel and Jack as they begin planning for their future together and building a family. Doc and Hope will be busy too, fighting to protect the town’s beloved clinic and all the people it serves. Netflix also revealed that both upcoming seasons—7 and 8—will have 10 episodes each. Part of Season 7 was even filmed in Mexico, which means we might get a few fresh backdrops mixed in with the usual stunning mountain views.
