James Solis and Meitalia Tantri Solis were introduced during 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 6. During their season, James and Meitalia attempted to start a new life together in the latter’s home country of Indonesia. Meitalia had spent several years in the United States with James, but ultimately decided that she wanted to go home. James attempted to make things work with Meitalia in Indonesia; however, he struggled to make a living. By the end of the season, the couple had moved back to America.

While James and Meitalia ended their season together, it seems like things between them may have recently taken a turn. Some fans speculated that James and Meitalia may have broken up. Here’s everything we know so far about their current status as well as their previous relationship struggles.

During The Other Way Season 6, James and Meitalia had several large disagreements. One of the biggest problems for the couple was their differing opinions on where to live. James was intent on staying in the US, as he had a steady job there. Meitalia, however, insisted on moving to Indonesia to be closer to her family. James wasn’t able to find a steady job in Indonesia, as Meitalia’s family wasn’t willing to pay him much to help their family business.

Another issue for the couple was children. Meitalia expressed the desire to have children with James and made it clear she wished to be a mother. James, on the other hand, no longer felt sure about having kids. He explained that he didn’t know if he wanted to bring children into the world, given the current state of it. While they didn’t reach an agreement on the topic, it didn’t tear them apart.

Perhaps the biggest stress for James and Meitalia was Meitalia’s sister Angel. When James asked Meitalia to return to the US with him, she gave him an ultimatum. Meitalia told James that she’d only go back if he would help Angel get a visa to visit. James was hesitant to do so, since Angel was clear about not liking him. Nonetheless, James helped Angel get a visa, and she eventually came to the US to visit Meitalia.

Recently, Meitalia deleted almost all traces of James from her Instagram account. The only pictures left of James on the account are group pictures from Christmas time as well as promotions for the show. In addition to deleting posts of James, Meitalia has also unfollowed his Instagram account.

As of late, it appears that Meitalia is now living in Indonesia again. There’s been no sign of James in her recent posts, suggesting that he’s still in the US. James, however, still follows Meitalia from his Instagram and has her in his bio. Despite still following her, he has deleted posts with her from his account as well.

Meitalia and James posted cryptic messages on Instagram hinting at a breakup

Over the last month, Meitalia and James have both posted cryptic content on Instagram hinting at a split. On June 30, Meitalia posted a picture with the caption “Betrayal can happen to anyone once. But never give them the chance to betray you twice.” This seems to suggest that James had betrayed her in some way, possibly by cheating. The timing of this post was also interesting, as it was posted when Meitalia originally unfollowed James.

James, on the other hand, made a post a few days later that seemed to be a response to Meitalias. James captioned his photo, “Think about your actions and think about the consequences. Nothing is worth losing someone that truly loves you.” It almost seems like this is an apology from James, urging Meitalia not to leave him. While it isn’t clear what the exact status of James and Meitalia’s marriage is today, it seems likely that they are currently broken up.
