What to expect on Days of our Lives

There won’t be a dry eye in the house or in Salem this week as John Black’s (the late Drake Hogestyn) life hangs in the balance after a heroic move that should bring Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) back to Hope (Kristian Alfonso). It seems that Kayla is able to help John hold on for just a little bit more after he coded on Friday.

While Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) beg John not to give up now, after he has survived so much over his long, adventurous, hero-worthy life, loved ones return to Salem to say their goodbyes. Expect to see Carrie (Christie Clark) and Eric (Greg Vaughan), who once knew John as a father when everyone (including John) thought he was Roman.

Will (Chandler Massey) also arrives in Salem to bid farewell to John, but he might also want to check on his wayward daughter.

Rachel’s confession

At the DiMera mansion, Rachel (Alice Halsey) drops a bomb on her mother: She saw Johnny (Carson Boatman) and EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) fighting the night that EJ was shot, and Johnny had a gun.Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) is stunned to hear this news, but will she do anything with it? EJ already remembers seeing Johnny with a gun and assumes he is the one who shot him, but he is not saying a word so that he can protect his son. Kristen does not have the same affection for Johnny and might have no issue going to the police.

Then again, she can also use this information as leverage over EJ to find out where he stashed her mother. We bet we know which option Kristen would choose.

Trouble for Xander

Xander (Paul Telfer) learns that he’s made an enemy out of Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) this week, someone who has been his closest ally for years. She is as disgusted as Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) is for what he did to Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) and will remain by Sarah’s side in a custody fight.Jada (Elia Cantu) also arrests Xander for assaulting Philip. Are we really returning to the days of Dark Xander?
