Lucky has left General Hospital once again, sigh. We were hoping that he would stick around this time, and that he and Elizabeth would have their happily ever after. Is Lucky’s loss Ric’s gain?
Second Choice
Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) had that magical kind of love that happens when you’re young. They have tried to recreate that in their adult lives, but it just doesn’t work. Liz is a responsible adult with a great career and three boys whom she raised on her own. Lucky is a free spirit who wants to run from one adventure to another. So he is off.
There is someone else from Liz’s past who recently returned to Port Charles. Ric (Rick Hearst) has always been in love with her, and it looks like that hasn’t changed. There may be a part of her that has feelings for Ric, but Lucky would always win in that war for her heart. Now that he is gone, this may be Ric’s chance to swoop in and get back together with his ex-wife.
Three’s A Crowd
Let’s not forget that Ric is presently involved with Ava (Maura West). This evil duo is pretty well suited for each other, but they are bound to get into trouble sooner or later. Ava or no Ava, Ric has been hanging around Elizabeth for months, much to both Ava and Lucky’s dismay.
Blackmailing Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to get the Cassadine fortune was not a good move, and it is only a matter of time before these two are caught. It would not be surprising if they turned on each other, which would probably end their relationship. Although Elizabeth will not approve of what her ex is doing, she could let it slide because she knows that Kristina (Kate Mansi) was the one who caused their accident, and Ric almost died. This might create a bond between them, and Ric will finally get the girl he still loves. These are the times we miss Franco (ex-Roger Howarth).
