‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) may be coming back for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason Hasn’t Had A Love Interest Since His Return
The news broke late last week that Kelly Thiebaud would be returning to General Hospital (GH) and that we could expect to see her back on our TV screens in July.
The actress posted a video on TikTok and told her fans that, while she couldn’t divulge the details of her long-awaited return to the soap, she promised,
“It’s going to be a wild ride.”
Britt was killed off the show in January 2023 as she threw herself a “birthday” bash to remember on New Year’s Eve 2022. Afterward, as she was preparing to leave Port Charles, she heard a terrifying scream.
“The Hook” was poised to murder Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), and Britt intervened and saved her life. In the process, she suffered a fatal poison cut and tragically “died” in her mother’s arms.
We all know how the soaps love to bring back characters from the dead. While her demise was tragic and seemed very final, it wouldn’t be too shocking to see Britt return alive and well.
We also have to wonder if GH is planning to have Britt and Jason’s romance pick up where it left off. Jason has been back on the canvas for over a year with no semblance of a love interest in sight.
The show was toying with a potential Jason and Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) pairing. Still, now that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) has triumphantly returned to Port Charles, that ship has likely sailed.
Many fans would love to see a Britt and Jason pairing, as they were denied the opportunity to see where their mutual attraction could lead.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Cody Recently Mentioned Britt
Jason was presumed dead before Britt in November 2021. Then Britt supposedly passed away on New Year’s Day in January 2023. Jason returned to GH in March 2024.
In addition, during the June 6th episode of GH, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) was talking to Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) as they were dipping their feet in the pool at the Metro Court.
Cody shared with her how he made his grand entrance into Port Charles. He parachuted into the pool, accidentally knocking Britt into the water with him.
The pair even raised a glass in honor of Britt. On the soaps, former characters typically aren’t simply mentioned randomly. There is always a reason for it.
We have a sneaking suspicion that Britt must really be alive. There is also some speculation that Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) is working on a top-secret cloning project involving Britt, so anything is possible.
Remember, this is the same show that saw Luke Spencer (Tony Geary) save the world from the Cassadines’ weather machine.
We wouldn’t put it past GH to resurrect a very much “dead as a doornail,” Britt. They may even undo her Huntington’s disease, which was in steady progression the last time we laid eyes on Britt.
Britt was a fan favorite, and we hope she is alive. Even if she isn’t, we can’t wait to see Kelly Thiebaud return to spice up the land of Port Charles.
