On The Young and the Restless for Tuesday, June 3 sees Nikki’s party end in high emotion, medical drama, and bold propositions, as Kyle risks millions to win Victor over, Cole’s condition worsens, and Nick surprises Sharon with an unexpected invitation.
What Happened on Y&R?
Kyle (Michael Mealor) kicked off the night with a heartfelt toast, earning praise from Claire (Hayley Erin) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), but it didn’t melt Victor’s (Eric Braeden) icy opinion. Victor dismissed Kyle’s speech as cloying and calculated, refusing to view him as anything but an Abbott. Nikki pushed back, urging her husband to judge Kyle on his own merits, not his last name.
Undeterred, Kyle approached Victor privately at the GCAC bar. In a bold move, he pitched a contract—a “pre-prenup” of sorts—offering $5 million in damages if he ever hurt Claire. Victor was taken aback but agreed to consider it. Claire soon arrived to deliver troubling news: Cole (J. Eddie Peck) had relapsed and was contagious. Victor offered to send his personal doctor. Later, Claire asked Kyle what he’d proposed, and he said he had made an offer he hoped her grandfather wouldn’t refuse.
Cole’s Illness
Guests buzzed about Cole’s coughing fit. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Claire helped him upstairs as Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), Adam (Mark Grossman), and others speculated about the seriousness of his condition. Victor eventually told Nikki he suspected pneumonia. Still, Nikki remained focused on the party, treasuring her charm bracelet and asking Victor to accept Claire and Kyle as the ultimate gift. He kissed her in response, unsure what his next move might be.
Meanwhile, across the lounge, Chelsea pointed out that Sharon (Sharon Case) might still have feelings for Nick (Joshua Morrow). Lauren (Tracey Bregman) and Michael (Christian Le Blanc) joined Sharon and Nick for cake, and after some light-hearted sparring about Michael’s resignation from Victor’s company, a conversation turned serious when Nick asked Sharon to accompany him to France for the Dumas party. She was surprised.
Winding Down
Elsewhere, Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) had a moment of vulnerability. Ashley didn’t want to discuss Martin (Christopher Cousins), and Abby was called away by a message from Dominic’s nanny. Sharon joined Ashley, and Sharon reassured Ashley, leaning into her role as a therapist.
Devon (Bryton James) and Abby thanked Victor on their way out, and Devon updated him on Lily’s (Christel Khalil) invitation to France. Victor warned that Dumas might be targeting Chancellor and braced for a fight. “Bring it on,” he said. Devon seemed ready to stand his ground.
Back at the bar, Diane (Susan Walters) and Michael exchanged kind words, with Diane expressing admiration for his decision to cut ties with Victor for Jack’s (Peter Bergman) sake. Jack toasted Nikki, calling her one of his heroes, a moment Victor quickly dismissed as a “pitiful soliloquy.”
Later, as guests began to leave, Chelsea and Adam planned a quiet drink and taco run. Claire walked Pietro (Jai Rodriguez) out, and he gave Kyle his stamp of approval, joking that he even does weddings. As the lights dimmed on the night, Nikki and Victor shared one last quiet moment. She asked about his conversation with Kyle and again pleaded with him to accept the couple. He didn’t answer directly, but kissed her, lost in thought.
