Bad news about Bo in the Thursday, May 22 episode of Days of Our Lives. Plus, Ari broke a little bad as she spent her birthday in bed with Doug III. And just after Holly coached the newest Brady Pub employee so he could get his GED. Brady and Belle debated the merits—or lack thereof—of backing EJ’s hospital bid versus Xander’s. And Shawn and Steve tracked down the Versivex to a warehouse that might also be a meth lab. With Bo’s health worsening, can the two men, plus John, get the drug in time?
Dark Web Research + Motherly Help
Hope (Kristina Alfonso) helped Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) track down Asher, Kevin’s roommate. He has the entire load of Versivex after Kevin (Chadwick Hopson) stupidly gave it to him for safekeeping. Hope arrested Asher back in the day, and apparently, her efforts to rehabilitate him may not have worked because he seems up to his ears in this. Anybody who goes by the alias Mister Monkey has to be a shady guy, right?
Using the dark web, they discover there’s a drug on the black market that sounds a lot like Versivex, and so they head to a warehouse where they think they pinpointed Asher.
Bo and John
While down at the warehouse, Shawn gets a call from Hope, who breaks the news to her son that Bo’s (Peter Reckell) health is worse and they’re calling a priest in for Last Rites. As a result, Shawn is desperate to get into the warehouse and get the Versivex. Steve suddenly has an idea.
Later, John (the late Drake Hogestyn), who had just touched down in Salem after months of captivity, showed up at the warehouse, ready to go. Viewers only see the back of the man who’s wearing a hoodie. But Steve is all smiles and knows they can get the job done with John on their side.
Unfortunately, John wasn’t able to reunite with his family before heading to the warehouse. While he is there, Marlena (Deidre Hall), Belle (Martha Madison), and Brady (Eric Martsolf) are back at the townhouse where they think they are about to surprise John. Instead, the person who came through the door was Paul (Christopher Sean), who explained that Andrew (Colton Little) was being debriefed and John had a pitstop to make.
