The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Friday, April 18 saw Liam taking a huge risk and gut-wrenching news coming in that will change everything.

What Happened Today On Bold and the Beautiful?
Liam (Scott Clifton) was not a happy camper lying there in his hospital bed. Not only was he restless, but he didn’t want to be there. At least not today. He was determined to make it to Kelly and take her to the daddy/daughter dance. He demanded Grace (Cassandra Creech) and Bridget (Ashley Jones) discharge him, even for a few hours. When they refused, he started ripping out his tubes and wires and got himself out of the bed and made his escape.

As for Kelly (Sophia Paras), she was home with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Finn (Tanner Novlan) excited for her and Liam’s big night. Finn kept his spirits up while at home, but soon took off for work to check on a “special patient,” leaving Steffy to warn the little girl that her father may not make it this time. Poor Kelly spent the next few hours staring out the door, waiting for Liam…and watching the clock. Her little heart started breaking when she realized the dance was close to being over.

Liam Kept His Promise
Sweet Kelly got her wish when Liam finally showed up. He rushed into the Cliff House ready to jump into the car and whisk Kelly off to their special night. Unfortunately, he got there too late, and Kelly informed him the dance was already over. No problem! Liam had the perfect solution. He and Steffy set up a dance party right there in the living room. He gave Kelly a lovely tiara and made her feel like quite a princess.

Once the music began, Liam did his very best to keep himself upright. It was a struggle, and he kept getting woozy and stumbling. He covered his tracks with Kelly, but Steffy knew better. Liam was still very, very ill and while she let him have this moment, it was clear she was worried sick.

The Worst News Of All
Sadly, things were much worse than anyone could imagine. While Liam boogied the night away with his little girl, the doctors were in Finn’s office discussing his case. The news is grim. Very grim. Liam was a mass on his brain that isn’t just inoperable, it’s terminal. Liam is dying.

After hearing the shocking news, Finn immediately texted Steffy to give her the news. It took everything in her to stand there and not break down while watching Liam and Kelly share such a special night, knowing it may be the last.

Proud Grandparents
Oblivious to all the drama, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor (Rebecca Budig) were at the Forrester mansion reminiscing about days gone by. A text from Steffy showing off Kelly’s dress got Ridge thinking about his first daddy/daughter dance. Oh, it was quite a time! And, he still has moves! Well, he still thinks he has moves. Taylor jokingly had something to say about that.
