She’s made a decision that could shatter everything Steffy holds dear! Convinced that Steffy destroyed her chance at family, Luna has now decided to give Steffy a dose of her own imagined pain. “She ripped my world apart,” Luna mutters, watching Hayes through dark sunglasses and a hoodie outside the cliff house. “Now she’ll feel what it’s like to lose him!“

With chilling precision, Luna strikes. Using charm, misdirection, and a fake identity, Luna lures Hayes away from the nanny during a fleeting moment of distraction. Within minutes, they disappear into the bustling city, into silence, and into Luna’s dark version of “justice.”

The first sign of trouble hits when Steffy calls for Hayes and hears nothing in return. The nanny’s panic, the empty yard, the sudden lack of laughter – it all crashes down on her like a thunderclap. “WHERE IS HE?!” Steffy cries out, her voice shrill, disbelieving. “Where’s my son?!” Her panic spreads like wildfire. Within moments, Finn (Tanner Novlan) is on the scene, his face pale, his eyes already fearing the worst. They comb the house, the neighborhood, but Hayes is GONE! It doesn’t make sense until Steffy’s mind lands on one terrifying possibility. “It’s Luna,” she whispers to Finn. “It has to be her. She came back for him!“

News of the abduction spreads like wildfire! The Forester family is devastated. Police are dispatched. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) demands answers. Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Hope (Annika Noelle) arrive at the cliff house, trying to comfort a nearly hysterical Steffy.

The Unthinkable Hero: Sheila Carter’s Ferocious Rescue!

But the most surprising, shocking reaction comes from someone outside the inner circle – someone who hasn’t been allowed anywhere near Hayes in months: SHEILA CARTER (Kimberlin Brown)! When Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) informs her about the abduction, Sheila nearly collapses! “Say what you will about Sheila’s past – her obsessions, her crimes, her twisted logic – but her love for her grandson has never been in question!” “That little boy is everything!” she growls through gritted teeth. “If Luna took him, I’ll find her! And I swear to God, I’ll bring him home!“

With a mix of maternal instinct and her unmatched street savvy, Sheila sets out alone! She starts by confronting Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park), demanding answers about Luna’s recent behavior and whereabouts. Though Poppy denies knowing anything, Sheila senses fear and perhaps guilt just beneath the surface. She follows her gut to Luna’s small downtown apartment, and what she finds confirms every nightmare!

There, in the dim glow of a floor lamp, is Hayes, curled up on a worn couch, confused and calling out for his mother. And standing over him is Luna, completely unhinged, whispering softly to the child as if they were family. “We’re going to be happy here, you and me. She doesn’t deserve you. She never did.“

Sheila doesn’t waste a second! She BURSTS through the door and GRABS HAYES, holding him tightly as the child begins to sob into her shoulder. “You’re safe now, sweetheart,” she murmurs, her eyes never leaving Luna. “But you?! What the hell were you thinking?! STAY AWAY FROM HAYES!” Luna, cornered and unraveling, pleads her case, insisting she only wanted to show Steffy what it felt like to be cast aside. But Sheila isn’t moved. “You’ve gone too far, Luna!” she says, voice trembling with rage. “You don’t get to use a child to settle your grudges!“

Steffy’s Disbelief: A Monster Becomes a Hero?!

When Steffy finally sees Hayes again, safely returned to the cliff house by none other than SHEILA CARTER, she BREAKS DOWN! Relief pours out in sobs as she clutches her son, unable to let go. For a moment, the world stops spinning. Hayes is safe. He’s home. And the woman responsible for that is the very one Steffy has kept at arm’s length, the woman she considers her worst enemy!

“Why did you do it?” Steffy asks Sheila softly, her voice filled with disbelief. Sheila doesn’t hesitate. “Because he’s my grandson, and because no matter what you think of me, I would never let anything happen to him!“

It’s a moment of unexpected, shocking reckoning! Could this monumental act change the way Steffy sees Sheila? Could the woman she’s long considered a monster actually have been the hero this time?
